Qualified and Trained Staff

Our care standards ensure exceptional quality of care by hiring qualified, experienced, screened, and matched caregivers - with every client’s unique needs. We provide ongoing training and support to ConsidraCare's PSWs and caregivers to ensure the highest quality of care. We enable high-quality care delivery through a state-of-the-art ConsidraCare platform that enables caregivers to organize daily care based on best practices and collaborate with families in real-time.

Peace of mind

All of our caregivers are experienced, vetted, bonded and insured. We provide peace of mind to the families by doing screening and proper background checks for caregivers spanning police checks, vaccination records, validation of qualifications and references. For live-in caregivers, clients are free to choose or reject caregivers which we recommend and entitled to a probationary period for each caregiver as per Ontario labour laws. When clients have hired a ConsidraCare live-in caregiver, we take over the administrative burden of payroll, tax and WSIB filings, caregiver payments, T4s, ROEs and more.

Professionalism

We treat our clients and caregivers with the utmost respect. We follow and provide guidance and information about employer and employee policies and procedures based on Ontario labour law. We only hire professional staff, experienced in healthcare and homecare, who can assist clients and families. with care and employment.

Partnership and Collaboration

We collaborate with caregivers, clients and families to develop bespoke care plans, empower the clients’ families to ensure that the plans are implemented and enable live-in caregivers and families collaboration in care planning and decision making through our ConsidraCare Platform.

Responsibility

We do monthly check-ins with families and placed caregivers to update senior care plans, address any concerns and ensure care quality and positive outcomes.

Fairness

We educate both the clients and caregivers on their rights and obligations and ensure that the care is delivered in an equitable, fair and professional environment.

Transparency

Unlike many assisted living facilities, our costs and fees are transparent and there are no hidden charges or costs for add-on services.

Promptness

We respond to all client and caregiver inquiries within 24 hours.

What services do our caregivers provide?

Support for getting ready for the day

Support for getting ready for the day

This includes all the activities needed to get ready for the day such as going to the washroom, washing, brushing teeth, grooming, shower assistance and changing clothes. It also includes help with putting on dentures, hearing aids, glasses and fall risk necklaces/bracelets provided the caregiver is given training for these tasks.

Support for Toileting caregivers

Support for toileting

This includes assistance in going in and out of the toilet and providing activities of hygiene. This can also include advanced care such as incontinence care.

Assistance with mobility caregivers

Assistance with mobility

This includes, but is not limited to, providing support for walking and using mobility aids such as canes, walkers and wheelchairs. Caregivers will also ensure that these items are within reach of the clients to reduce fall risk.

Meal preparation and planning caregivers

Meal preparation and planning

Meal preparation includes all tasks beginning from creating the grocery list, meal planning and grocery shopping to meal preparation and serving meals to your loved ones. The caregivers will also assist in feeding if needed.

Medication Reminders caregivers

Medication reminders

This includes reminders to take medications and assistance with taking them according to doctors instructions. We encourage families to arrange for blister packs from their pharmacies to ensure proper dosage of medications according to doctors' instructions.

Support in getting ready for night and night care

Support in getting ready for night and night care

Night care includes assistance with changing clothes, brushing teeth, taking away dentures, hearing aids , making the bed and other activities to get ready for bed. Night care also means help with going to the bathroom. Should your loved one wake up and require assistance at night, the caregivers can assist up to 2 times, with each activity lasting up to 15 minutes. If more assistance is required every night, it should be agreed upon between the caregiver and the family at the time of placement.

This includes companionship and engaging in activities that promote happiness for the person who is being cared for. This also includes encouraging and providing support for social activities.

Event Planning caregivers

Events planning

This includes keeping track important dates, planning doctor appointments and organizing social events.

Light housekeeping

This includes light cleaning and keeping the ouse tidy to promote hygiene, safety and health of the occupants. This can also include doing the laundry and folding of the clothes for the loved one.
